Character: 6/10 Plot: 8/10 Writing: 6/10 I don't know whether to blame character or writing style (obviously a combination of both), but this book was whinier and more melodramatic than its predecessors. I like the plot, but everything was all "I don't know who I am" and "nothing will ever be the same." The tone/mood remained the same bogged-down depression and confusion throughout, without enough moments of humor or hope to balance it out. I liked the idea and the twist at the end, but it was difficult to get through this one. On the other hand, with how lighthearted the rest of the series is, perhaps it was time for things to slow down and get a little bit darker.
