I remember enjoying this book when I was a kid, so I decided to revisit it. I think I liked it even more now in adulthood. Jeffrey Magee is such a good kid: brave, kind, and curious. He wants people to treat one another with kindness and respect and he is unbothered by differences of race, socioeconomic class, age, or education. Because of his willingness to accept others, he is able to freely navigate a world that has drawn harsh lines to segregate others.
