Not be best of Camp or Sandford's books, for many reasons - - - first, who were the bad guys again? A bit too much moral relativism for my ethical tastes. Also, towards the end of the book, published in 2009, Sandford has his main character, Davenport, state unequivocally that Lee Oswald was the murderer of John F. Kennedy, even though THIS HAS NEVER BEEN proven in a court of law! Whether it is fiction or not, propaganda should not be spewed by author Sandford. We now know [remember, copyright is 2009] from declassified CIA, FBI and State documents that Jean Souetre of the French fascist rightwing group, the OAS [Secret Army Organization] was the lead assassin, along with Lucien Conein [CIA], Moise Maschkivitzan and Lazlo the Hungarian [also contract killers for the CIA who were affiliated with the French OAS]. Pfc. Eugene Dinkin, stationed at an NSA site in Metz, France, intercepted cables from the CIA station in Italy and the OAS, detailing the planned date for the murder of President Kennedy, then the patriotic Mr. Dinkin attempted to notify the proper people, was arrested and sent to Walter Reed for electro-shock treatments and schizophrenia-inducing drugs, scrambling his mind for the remainder of his life! The chief of the CIA station in Italy, Wm. Harvey, together with fired CIA director, Allen Dulles, would both appear in Dallas two weeks prior to the assassination [setting up the op]. On the day of the assassination, Gen. Lansdale [CIA] and Lucien Conein [CIA] would both be photographed in Dallas, and the CIA would later issue an expulsion order to pickup and deport OAS assassin Jean Souetre, on Nov. 22, 1963 in Dallas, TX!
