David Baldacci tells a compelling and gripping story but unfortunately he lacks technical knowledge which is very often demonstrated in his story endings where he attempts to wrap everything up with some Deus Ex Machina like devices. It gives the feeling that the author likes to craft stories so much that the publishing house yanks it out of his hands then appoints a junior to wind up the plot. **Spoiler Alert** Blowing the oxygen bottle with a shotgun in a enclosed area which supposedly results in blowing off the trunk lid is nonsense that any arithmetic junior would catch. He should raise his game because this happens time after time. Perhaps it is a price to pay when reading or listening to Baldacci.
