Matched is the first novel in the Matched trilogy written by Allie Condie. The story is about a girl name Cassia Reyes who lives in the society. In the society everything is calculated and predetermined for you; where you work, who you marry, and when you die. When Cassia's friend Xander appears on her matching screen, she knows that he is who she is meant marry. However, all that changes when there is a glitch and she sees the face of someone else she knows, Ky. Now Cassia, more confused than ever, has to make the first real decision she has ever made. If you are a fan of romance, dystopian novels, or science fiction, I would highly recommend reading this novel. The book is more of a mature read, great for teenagers, but I would not recommend this novel to a younger audience. The story is very deep and very similar to the Divergent series and The Hunger Games. Just like in many teen novels, there are also a lot of plot twists and surprises in the novel. Overall, if I had to rate this novel I would rate it four out of five stars. @SapphireReads of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board A society in which the authorities pick the person you will marry for you in order to create the perfect offspring.  Cassia got matched with her best friend Xander but when she goes home to read over the information given to her about Xander, she finds a picture of another boy.  A boy who has done something bad.  It is so unforgivable that he is denied the right to be matched like the other people in the society.  But she falls in love with this boy. - @bookworm2.1k of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
