Awesome book. Unlike many other longstanding series, Muchamore preserves the integrity of his story by actually writing something that stands alone without leaning on the success of the first Cherub series. At no point did it feel like the author was simply sludging through another novel to milk his brand for all it's worth. This is a solid book, and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first Cherub book years ago. I genuinely admire this author.
