The physics of vulnerability is simple: If we are brave enough often enough, we will fall. The author of the #1 New York Times bestsellers Daring Greatly and The Gifts of Imperfection tells us what it takes to get back up, and how owning our stories of disappointment, failure, and heartbreak gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle, Brene Brown writes, can be our greatest call to courage, and rising strong our clearest path to deeper meaning, wisdom, and hope.
I'm not sure that the audiobook is 100% the same as the written book, but the audio was good. Brene has taken the time to understand vulnerability in her work in general and especially expresses the art of emotional vulnerability (as well as boundaries) in this audiobook. Literally, it's stuff we never think to do because not addressing our fear or hate initially blocks us from being able to connect in love with the people we interact with. Also, she has some of the most amusing stories. Great listen.
For anyone that is having issues: You must download the OverDrive app onto your mobile device such as iPhone or Android device. You must download the app and install it from either the Apple app store, or the Google Market. Once it is downloaded and installed, you must create an account using your library card. Once that is done and you have logged into your account, you will be able to check this out and it will download the 7 part MP3 files that are encoded to only play in OverDrive to your device. You will then be able to listen to it. The files expire after 21 days.
Self-help that actually helps! A fun listen, this relatable book is read by the author who offers techniques that can help you raise self-assured young people, communicate well in your relationships and figure out what to do if you mess up at work.
Fantastic. Listening to Brené read her work is the only way to take it in. She is hilarious and hearing her speak her experiences and wisdom is a lot of fun and very educational.
Not bad. Funny in parts. Useful here and there. I found it ultimately enough for me about half-way through. I can see that some would *really* like it.

Brene as always does a great job at telling stories. Very relevant topics for people who want a more out of life.
I've had a lot of trouble with this title. Tried to check it out twice, and in both cases it wouldn't download. Is there something up with the file?
I chose the only option, mp3, but then it downloaded as an open office file. Unsure how to listen.
