Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She's skipped multiple grades and doesn't really connect with the older kids at school, but she's not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie's a telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret--at least, that's what she thinks. But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she's not alone. He's a telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well ... she isn't. Fitz opens Sophie's eyes to a shocking truth, and she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.

Can I just say that this is my most favourite series ever!
The plot it self is adventurous, suspenseful, intriguing and so much more. This series beats Harry Potter and Percy Jackson any day in my book.

I loved this book so much! Shannon Messenger is the best author ever!!! If you like Sisters Grimm, Harry Potter, or any other books, you should definitely read this one. I think this book should get more praise. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone. Just be aware that you won’t be able to put this book down once you start reading! And some scenes are very sad, and some are funny, but just saying, you should really read this if you haven’t already!

These books are incredible! I cannot believe they are not very well known! The characters are all very well developed and have distinct personalities, and the plotline is addictive. This is one of those stories that has a strong hold on you from the moment you begin the first page - dragging you in so far you never want to return.
If you like Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, or Alice in Wonderland, then I highly recommend this book. It's great for any age!

This book fully deserves my 5-star rating. It was engaging, well-written, and simply awesome! i put a hold on the rest of the series, and was constantly checking my holds list to see if #2 was available for me yet!!!
Once again, it was AWESOME!!!
