While it was predictable and slow-moving, it is an interesting read. Russ goes into much detail about his thoughts as he grapples with his roles as father, husband, brother, professional and friend. Life demands much of us, but then, if we cope with those challenges with love, hope & selflessness (and sometimes selfishness when that is needed), rewards us with a different kind of richness than we knew before.

I loved this book but I did find the first part of it a little longer than was completely necessary. Overall it was a great story and I would highly recommend it.

I am usually a fan of Sparks but didn't really enjoy this book at all. Story line was weak and I didn't like the digs he took at peoples beliefs. We should all be able to believe as we wish.

I enjoyed the story and the idea behind this book, but it took me awhile to get into it. The book is almost 500 pages long, and I did not feel that it needed that many pages to achieve the story line. I kept reading at the beginning because although I wasn't in love with the story I was intrigued.

The story line of Russ and his daughter is done very well. The book has you rooting for them the entire time. There were other twists and turns thrown in with his family and personal life throughout the book that kept the story moving along. Again, I think it could have achieved the same result in less pages, but overall I did enjoy this book. I agree with the other reviewers who said the second half of the book is better. Most novels by Spark immediately capture my attention and I can't put them down. However, I did not feel the same way about this book until I was about 250/300 pages into it.

I made it through 75 pages of this book and cannot finish it . I love Sparks books, but this one was frustrating. I do not enjoy seeing a married couple fighting.

I know that a lot of people make fun of reading Nicholas Sparks, but somehow he still gets me every time. In Two by Two, he writes an engaging novel that usually makes you cry at some point, but I definitely liked it - like I always do.

I really disliked this book. It was predictable, slow moving and the main character was such a wimp!! Grow a pair will you. I skimmed most of this book when I should have quit reading it a few chapters in. Not what I am used to from this author. What a disappointment.

This book was beautifully written and I found it to be incredibly relatable to a real-life situation. Compared to other books with more dramatic turns of events and excitement, this book may be considered a slower pace but for the situation and the story line I thought the pace fit the book perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and the characters and how genuine and honest the story was written. He is one of my favorite authors.

I found it frustrating to read about Russ and his struggles with Vivian. Russ seemed to be a bit clueless, especially at the beginning and Vivian was not a credit to our sex. She was extremely inconsistent. Perhaps that was the problem. Anyway, it was refreshing to find that the book also spent quite some time focusing on Russ and his sister Marge and the crisis in her life.

This book was much better than "See Me". I felt empathy for Russ and enjoyed getting to know his family better as well as his friend Emily. The family relationship was heartwarming and their experiences led to some tears, but I was not nearly as moved as I had been in the past by books like "a Walk to Remember".

I will most likely pick up the next Sparks book when it comes out and see if he continues to trend back toward the highs of the past.

"At any given time, I am not the whole me; I am but a partial version of myself and each version is slightly different from the others. But each of these versions of me, I now believe, has always had someone by his side. I'd survived the year because I'd been able to march two by two with those I loved the most."
