Same story and method as the original one, but featuring the younger brother of the girl from the first one. They go camping seeking answers, hear scary noises at night, get lost in the woods, find the creepy house and die. Same exact story.

Found footages movies are an interesting filmmaking format, but unfortunately it's often done by projects with sub-standard writing, directing, and acting. I understand why a lot of people are beginning to resent or even hate the format since it's used so poorly, and this film is a perfect example of it. Some of the actors were alright, but some were just horrible. They had fake out jumps that just made you mad not scared. They got to scary locations/situations and it never pays off. It could have be so incredibly scary but nothing really happens. The camera shakes and video cuts out. Ooh, scary. *sarcasm*. Another problem is that nothing is really explained and there is a twist but how that is possible is beyond me. And the question at the beginning of the film isn't answered. The whole reason to go into the woods and it's not addressed. Poorly shot, poorly directed, and no real scares at all. Scary settings that never pay off, but nothing that would scare anyone over 10.

I enjoyed the novelty of the first Blair Witch movie so I thought I'd give the second one a go. I can't say that I enjoyed it. The plot was predictable, the acting was decent although I don't know how talented you really have to be to scream non-stop for the better part of an hour. If you want a movie that'll make you jump, but leave you feeling generally unsatisfied, this one fits the bill.

This one is for the young audience, who does not mind the use of hand-held or helmet-mounted cameras. You are talking about lots of jumpy images, which made my head spin. It is obviously a low-budget film, and I find it unwatchable. No, I did not finish it.

Not being a fan of the "lost footage" type of film, and not being one who saw the original movie, I went in with an open mind...perhaps it was because I expected so little that I was pleasantry surprised. The fact that many directors have taken the " in your face" point of view during scenes such as action punch ups, it has become easier to view this type of film. As well, it was quite clear and professionaly done as it tried to CONVEY the lost footage feel.
As for the story and the so called scares, well, after thousands of horror, slasher, thriller, movies that I have watched over 50 years I must say this one did not make me flinch even once..which is difficult to do as many of you may know after so many films we just become numb to any type of tension...takes something really planned and a directors perfect get your attention away from whats coming at you to give us a jump or the heebee jeebees...insert Dont Breathe here...
Still, for those who have not seen the original, and are "new" to these types of films ( yes kids, those no doubt under 25) it may be a worthwhile Friday evening view. For the rest of us, its back to the original Korean version of Tale of Two Sisters.

I think the thing I hated most about this movie was all the noise. There was way, way too much. You have the constant horror low note blaring. Everyone is always shrieking hysterically. Even the girl's wound on her foot made noise. ALL THE TIME. It got so irritating that it became cheesy and I just started laughing at all the jump scares. And the witch looked like Groot. I love a good horror movie. This one is not.

The good thing about the original was that it was so minimalist and your imagination could run as wild as the people fleeing through the forest.
