A Plain And Fancy Christmas - it is about two Rachels born two days apart in the same hospital but due to the duty doctor's alcoholism the Rachels were given to the wrong mothers. The nurse on duty that evening was the wife of the alcoholic doctor and covered for him. When she is in her seventies and long retired, she decides to write the Rachels, now grown, at their last known addresses and let them know what happened many years ago.

This about Rachel Yoder and Ellie (an Englisher) switched at birth. In order to understand their identities and to learn more about their new relatives, both had made the hard sacrafice of switching homes for awhile.
