I do believe cardboard is the only way to describe this tedious film. The trailer offered great hope for this picture but alas, it was not to be so. And just because Liv Tyler is Steven Tyler's (Aerosmith fame) daughter does not mean she can act and this is a perfectly painful example, ouch!!!

Painful, slow, tedious and awkward.

Definitely an original. I've never seen anything quite like it. Funny but subtle. I appreciated it more after watching the bonus features.

Apparently I'm going to be in the minority here, but I actually loved this movie. I often have a hard time with kitschy spoof movies because I feel like they're all nudge-nudge-wink-wink and no soul. This movie, however, has something more going on. I'd agree that it is more of a drama, that it is on the slower side, that its comedy is a little darker and less slapsticky than you might expect. But what I really loved about this movie is that it cares about its characters. It doesn't take cheap shots at them or rely on their ridiculousness to move the story along. It's quirky, yes, but there's heart among the good-natured silliness.

Sometimes there are movies where you cannot find one positive comment to say. The premise is that you have a space station in deep space with a crew of people stuck in the 1970s with clothes and decor in a dull suburban Desperate Housewives storyline. Even the actors look completely bored being in the movie which moves as slow as molasses and is painfully unfunny. Not sure what kind of film the filmmakers thought they were making but they sure didn't succeed.

Somewhat funny in some parts I guess (robot shrink), but mostly just creepy & stupid. I hate most movies, but in this case it looks like most people agree. Sounded like an awesome idea: space comedy set in the 70s. I mean, this could have been the next Spaceballs, but instead it's just kinda nauseating. You could remove any character from the movie & it'd make literally no difference.

More drama than comedy.

When I picked this movie up I thought it was going to be a comedy. It was amusing at times but a little too dark to be funny, and I'm not talking about dark humor I'm saying that the movie itself was rather dark and a bit depressing. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't advise watching it if you are looking for a good laugh.

According to some this is a spoof, but obviously the producers & director never heard this, or if they did they didn't understand the concept. There was no coherent plot / storyline and the acting was substandard (wooden). It's as if three of four writers got together with total different concepts, shot their scripts separately, and they were edited into a movie. A waste of 95 minutes of my life.

The only thing I found funny with this one was the 70's look to everything and that they called it a comedy. This is in no way a comedy. At best a poorly written drama. No real plot or message here. This was a total waste of time. One guy had this artificial hand that would need charging by way of a power cord. They made the hand out of a Nintendo power glove. That bit was somewhat funny, but nothing to laugh about.
