This is a disturbing film on many levels but I liked it and will resist giving away the ending.

The main element of the film is, what does a man remain faithful to after society has collapsed?

I shut this off after 12 minutes saying to myself, "What's the point?!?"

It's an abysmal film with senseless violence, and no character development.

Robert Pattinson is fantastic as a slow vulnerable southern American in this role. He was also great as an east coast tough guy in "Good Time". I never saw the"Twilight" movies but he's a very talented actor in these obscure independent films.

I love this movie. It's an actor's movie, made for creative expression regarding the acting within the backdrop of the desert, which gives it a very cool aftertaste. It is definitely a movie made to be seen more than once, just like Ravenous, also with Guy Pearce. I recommend it

Wasn't worth watching. Acting by Pattinson was excellent despite strange story he was given to be in. Guy Pearce after his car all this time kiĺling so many people along the way just so he can______. I won't spoil it. Watch it and you will find out why he had to find his car and what was so important in it.

Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson are caught up in the mother of all economic depressions in a remote area of Australia. The some-what road trip film of these two armed and dangerous guys gives these two fine actors an opportunity to show their considerable film talents. The film, largely because of the fine acting, kept me interested the whole time. No academy awards here, but still a fine showcase of two good actors.

I liked this movie, one of very few I could watch twice. I understand why other people didn't like it though. All the characters are horrible people, which is often the case in movies. Certain parts don't make sense at all either...Like, if everyone is murdering each other so casually, why didn't the car thieves kill Guy at the start? The end really makes it, & I caught a couple details on the 2nd watch...for example, the midget throws a rock at a dog...Then we see the look on Pearce's face...Very subtle.

Not for everyone apparently, but I found this to be superbly atmospheric. Both Pattison and Pearce's acting is pitch perfect. It drills right into the soul of both characters in this collapsing lost world. Comparable to The Road, but much stronger characterizations and more believable as the world goes out with a whimper, not a bang. Most memorable film I've seen in a long while. Terrific final shock in the last few frames.

From IMDb:

Eric: You should never stop thinking about a life you've taken. That's the price you pay for taking it.

Rey: Not everything has to be about something.

Eric: What feeling do you have when you wake up in the morning? When your feet touch the floor? Or before that, when you're lying there thinking about your feet hitting the floor. Do you know what I'm talking about?
