This informative nature-documentary looks at the sexual behaviour of various animals from around the world. You just might be surprised with what you see.

In my opinion - Of the four, featured mammals (and their decidedly weird sex practices) who were specially showcased in this fairly interesting biology documentary, it was, without a doubt, the randy, Australian kangaroo who proved to be the most curious critter of them all (with, of course, the equally odd behaviour, and such, of the horny orangutan, coming in as a close second).

Of the many nature documentaries that I've seen over the years - "Sex In The Wild" certainly turned out to be one of the most interesting and entertaining wildlife studies that I've seen in quite some time.

Competently hosted by Joy Reidenberg (along with her conscientious associate, Mark Evans, close at hand) - "Sex In The Wild" (with its 2-hour running time) certainly didn't disappoint this viewer for even a minute. This was definitely one documentary that I would recommend to one and all - Though due to the graphic depiction of its chosen subject matter, some audiences may not appreciate its "in-your-face" candidness.

(*Spoiler Alert!*)... Hey! Let's talk about sex (in the wild, that is).

And, if you honestly thought that only sex amongst us humans was fascinating stuff, then, just wait till you see (and, yes, hear) a sex-crazed, male elephant on a testosterone rampage, or witness an orangutan gang-bang, or a kangaroo circle-jerk. (Ha! Just kidding there)

Believe me - "Sex In The Wild" (aka. "The Biology Of Mating") will leave you thoroughly astounded at how the other mammals "do it" (as only they could possibly "do it").

From their excited search for the perfect partner, to some pretty wacky mating rituals, to over-sized penises, and beyond - This informative and equally entertaining documentary certainly goes so much further than just being typical "jungle-porn", where here the animals are at least given some sense of dignity in their heated moments of carnal lust.

Professionally presented through PBS - This 4-hour "animal kingdom" documentary is very graphic (when it comes to the act of sex) where nothing is left to the imagination and depiction of birth is right in your face.

*Note* - For those of you who are easily offended and shocked - Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
