Daniel Craig (JAMES BOND FRANCHISE) delivers a startling performance as Joe Scott, a washed-up Hollywood star adrift in a haze of sex, drugs and squandered fame. But when he receives news of the sudden death of his childhood best friend, Joe flashes back to his younger self in his small English seaside village and the summer of innocence and tragedy that would change his life forever. Olivia Williams (ANNA KARENINA, THE SIXTH SENSE), Claire Forlani (TV's NCIS: LOS ANGELES, TV'S CSI: NY), and GRAMMY®-WINNING recording artist Eve co-star in this powerful drama about love, loss and one man's journey to redemption.

Add a CommentAMAZING film. Not my normal view. I do rather like that the biggest "supporting role" in this is the Ocean. Visually stunning and directed so well, at times simple movements say more than dialog. Craig is amazing as is Harry Eden's portrayal of a young Craig. Touchingly poignant and at moments, very real.(Although the opening scene is a bit gratuitous. but hey, it got me to watch it....) ...(a few days later...): after thinking about it, i think this is a very important film. It's about reconciling with your past and while our mistakes are not the same as Joe Scot's they are equally important with which to make peace.
So much to like and so much not to. Fantastic soundtrack is best part of this film. Daniel Craig is wonderful, as he usually is. Story very sad, some laughs, some nonsense. Overall acting very good. See it just for the music.
Interesting story, beautiful scenery.
Stupid name, good movie. The transition between the character's youth and his later life in the Hollywood hills was a little disjointed though. Daniel Craig is such a fine actor, so nuanced and versatile.
Overall, it was pretty boring.
