Fantasy film about a citizen's response to the wall street bankers' looting of America and getting away with.
Storyline is far fetch, but a few events like this really happened during the crash of 1987. I would not be surprised one bit if someone goes postal on Wall Street. Worth watching.
I never heard of the movie "Assault on Wall Street" and now I know why. It must have gone straight to DVD. It was boring, monotonous and predicable. It pained me to do this but there was nothing else I could do - I turned off the DVD and turned on the TV. I would not recommend this movie.
Uwe Boll does it again: Makes a watchable movie. How did he do it? He takes the premise of his other watchable movie (Rampage), tweaks it slightly and tries to make a different social statement, and lets the bullets fly. Graphic violence when it gets going. Hopefully no one watches this and thinks the protagonist was within reason to do what he does, but it's a fun little flick.
The subtle message here is: capitalism is BAD, the police are stupid, and flipping out and killing people is justified and okay because a man lost everything.
Reality is: crony capitalism is bad, and flipping out and murdering people can't ever be justified.
The film has appeal to the Occupy Movement crowd who hate capitalism and the police, but other than that, it has little appeal to the rest of us.
Great acting, great movie. Good suspense and plot
