Much fun. A definite "must watch" for Doctor Who fans. One of the first series from the 4th-Doctor (Tom Baker), 6 episodes about how the Daleks got to be the annoyingly evil-Daleks, along with the introduction of the Davros character. Tom Baker as the 4th Doctor is more a bit more detached from "Doctor-ness" than the first three, but takes the ball and runs with it anyway. He turns out to be an excellent casting choice. Evil-genius Davros's portrayal is played to perfection. And the Daleks -- as you might expect, they hold up their end as well, and cause a lot of trouble. Daleks it seems are sort of a 'trouble casserole', at any Who picnic, they'll usually be in the mix.

Genesis of the Daleks is one of the best (if not the best) Doctor Who stories out there. Definitely the best Fourth Doctor story and one of the best stories of the classic series. Continuing on from the Sontaran Experiment and the Ark in Space, this story continues the Nerva Beacon arc of Tom Baker's first season. Features the beginnings of the Daleks and the introduction of Davros. Definitely a must-watch for any Who fan.

Lots of action and fighting. The Doctor tries to prevent the Daleks from evolving into heartless killing lifeforms.

[Doctor walks up to two guards he needs to get past]

DOCTOR: [with a delighted, nutty Tom Baker smile] "Excuse me, can you help me? I'm a spy."

[Doctor bangs the guards' heads together and knocks them out]
