This was a very good fictional look at a less publicized aspect of WW2. I liked that it was written in free verse; it felt more like an actual person's thoughts and words. The highest compliment I can give this book: I now am interested in the nonfictional subject and want to research it some more. Definitely recommended for anyone interested in history or fictional memoir.
An interesting read which is told from the perspective of a young girl hiding from the Nazi's and pretending to be catholic in rural France. It would be quite appropriate as an historical realistic fiction book for those tweens and teens studying WWII.
