I did not like this beginning to the Four Eyes series. I felt it was a tired story, attempting to be new with the concept of dragons in NYC during the depression. But it lacked any real characterization or emotion. And the art--by artist Max Fiumara is at once beautiful and grotesquely strange. But his people look like aliens. and his dragons are too much tooth and claw. In all, I don't recommend this and I will not be reading any more of the series.

A slightly heart warming story within great loss.
