Very honest bio of Pattie Malette's life. Sad childhood ( father abandoned their family when she was 2, sexually abused since the age of 5, distant mother)...got involved with drugs and the wrong crowd when just a teen...suicidal.

Hard to read at times.

Then someone re-introduces her to God....letting her know she's got nothing else to lose.

Read to find how she found hope in despair, a reason to go on, love when she least expected it.

Excellent!

I just read this book. It gives such hope to single parents! Patti has a REAL life story of pathetic need and restorative hope....
No one who reads it will be sorry. It isn't a long read, but does tell how faith overcomes a really bad start to life.
From the memories of sexual molestation, Patti tried every way to forget her pain, until she met people who truly sought to help her... it didn't happen suddenly. There were many trys and many failures, but her determination to give her baby a good upbringing brought her joy and a reason to keep trying....

This book is an exceptional candid account of abuse and its effects and the strength to move to victory over victimization. Especially good for Christians. Should be in every church bookstore and lend out shelf

Great Book !! This women went through so much. She's strong, inspiring, and brave. She has a good heart. This book really shows that you can't judge a book by it's cover. Remember, people know your name not your story. This book also shows that even when in the worst place there is hope. I think all beliebers should read this book. I am one and I loved it. It describes how was Justin born , how she took care of him , how he was famous. It's beautiful , what's even more beautiful is how she fought through the depression, sexual abuse, heartbreak, her tramuatic stress disorder, and taking care of Justin. Anyone who's going through or been through what she went through should really read this. Just because your a christian it doesn't means your not gonna have problems. Like she said "When you hit rock bottom you have nowhere to go but up' I love that quote. I love her. God Bless her! Five Stars.
