In this update of the 2002 edition titled Digital Photographer's Handbook, a leading digital photographer argues that digital photography builds on, rather than makes obsolete, conventional photo techniques. Digital Photography: an Introduction. Fully Updated 4th Edition. --- by Tom Ang.
Copyrighted 2012 tells you this book is somewhat dated already. 2012 to 2015 would have seen some improvement in Digital technology and cameras. Nonetheless, this book is still quite useful. While not overlooking the creative aspects of photography Ang also tells us how they may be achieved. Core skills such as exposure control; use of flash; and low light photography are some of the basic skills that the book features. Equally important in digital photography is what can be done with the image after the camera captures it. Photographic errors can be rectified; mistakes can be undone; pictures can be cropped; colours can be reformulated to achieve many different desired effects. As would be expected of a book on photography, the book features lots of pictures that go a mile in illustrating the text. Certainly worth a look.
