When I first started watching Gossip Girl, my friends warned me that season five was perhaps the most boring and unrealistic season in Gossip Girl. At first, I didn’t believe them, the first four seasons of Gossip Girl evoked a whirlwind of emotions, but none of them were disappointment or boredom. I couldn’t fathom that season five wouldn’t live up to my expectations. Unfortunately, a quarter into this season I realized that I was wrong. Simply put, season five was too….stupid. Bart Bass mysteriously reappears and no one questions his disappearance or why he faked his death, instead they throw him a party. Blair marries her Prince Charming, Louis, only to apply for an annulment less than an hour after their marriage. The writers better pick up the slack or else season six will leave viewers disappointed as well.
