Agree with dfpoz: the book is really great! I thought it was going to be a high-falutin' book of the Lauren lifestyle, but the recipes and photography of the Hamptons in general are great! Try the pound cake and the corn muffins! Recommend!

While it could be pretentious, it isn't. Lots of very appealing recipes and well written. Great ideas for family recipes throughout the year, but particularly summertime fare. Lots of great photographs of the Hamptons, as well as the food. Ricky Lauren is a good writer. The book is appealing on many levels & recipes are easy to follow.
