Author uses individual examples of times his method worked instead of using a meta-analysis of how it would've worked applied to the whole S&P 500. Just using individual examples like that is meaningless. You can find examples of companies it would've worked to buy when it's sunny and sell when it's raining, doesn't mean that outperforms the whole market.
