Plot turns, some surprising, more character development. Continues to be a consistently high quality show, documenting the time period it encompasses.

Better than the first three seasons. More clever and funny, with some morbid humor (Miss Blankenship character is hysterically funny). Also more mature dialogue and deeper character development. Don Draper is a more multi-dimensional character than previously portrayed. Still, the series is a bit messy and juvenile but the last episode is brilliant and is topped off with "I Got You, Babe."

The feature about Johnson vs Goldwater 1964 is worth watching for a brief history of the times. Goldwater is not afraid to appear in his political commercials and makes a lot of sense to me.

I did notice the damage on the DVDs but you won't miss anything skipping these parts.

CLEAN THESE DVDs BEFORE USE. 1st DVD IS BADLY SCRATCHED.

The saga of the Madison Avenue ad men continues and I gotta say, though I'm only slightly half done, this is the most enjoyable as a whole out of all of the seasons. Yes, it's moody, depressing at times, dark, but the cast is excellent, as well as the writing, and the production design is fabulous. I do love the costumes as well but at times it's almost over the top, especially if it's a character that's not meant to be fashionable, they go out of their way to make them unattractive and it borders on buffonery.

Both subtle and outlandish. You can miss so much information in three seconds of stolen glances on this show. It's great.
