From the creator of Big Bear Hug comes the comic-adventure story of a mild-mannered moose who learns how to take life by the antlers. This moose may live in the wild, but he doesn't act it --- he watches from the sidelines as his friends have fun. Every now and then, he wonders if he's missing out on anything.

When the moose finally takes a chance and goes on a solo sailing trip, a raging storm carries him far from everything he knows. Will he curl up in a ball and cry, or make the most of it?

The moose's unlikely hero-journey is a lighthearted, contemporary fable that celebrates living life to the fullest.

I like this book because i was once like the moose. I also like this book because in some of it there is friendship.

Ms. K's class liked when the moose went cliff jumping with his friends Beaver and Bear. We like when the Moose meets Tuesday because his name is funny and because they play volleyball together and roast coconuts together.
The main life lesson in this book is that you should stay active so you will be healthy. Don't waste your life. You should make the most of your life. The moose made the most of his life by making new friends, surfing the waves, roasting coconuts, and jumping off cliffs.
Ms. Harbin's class liked when the moose went ski diving. We like when the moose started meditating. We like when the moose and turtle were roasting coconuts. We like when the moose met the turtle Tuesday.

This is a serious picture book, best for older children and adults who love picture books. Moose is depressed, overly cautious, mild-mannered and searching for meaning in his life. He finds joy in life while stranded on a deserted island with only a tortoise named Tuesday for company.

I didn't pay attention to Moose until reading children's book. This is very cute picture but very cruel but realistic story. Nicolas Oldland is one of the best Canadian Artists, for sure!

Moose takes the first step outside of his comfort zone and I love that not everything goes perfectly. Storms happen!

So many people need to learn this simple lesson...
