A Whedon family (Joss, Zack, Jed plus Maurissa Tancharoen) web extravaganza (available on DVD), a musical. Perfect cast (Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, Neill Patrick Harris and Simon Helberg). Typically Joss, bizarre story line. Nothing but off-the-wall farce. I give this web series a 7 (good) out of 10. [Musical Super Hero Farce]

Standing apology to every roommate I've had for my incessant singing of "Laundry Day."

If you're in the mood for a comedy musical but have only 45 minutes to spare, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog may be your only option. Fortunately, it's pretty entertaining. I enjoy the songs more than the dialogue. If you are a fan of musicals, Joss Whedon, Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and/or Felicia Day, it's definitely worth seeing. Simon Helberg, who plays Howard Wolowitz on The Big Bang Theory, has a small role as well. There is a lot of bonus material on the DVD. I listened to most of the clever Commentary! The Musical also.

I love this SO MUCH! Lovable dork of an anti-hero...the girl he loves but just cannot talk to ("I'm so close to a real audible connection"), & the arrogant superhero who is his nemesis. And it's a musical! The harmony of Neil Patrick Harris & Felicia Day on "My Eyes" is so amazing, it will give you goosebumps. If you have a great sense of humor & cannot live without music in your life, then watch this...& sing along. :-)

I understand that is was intended to be the new Rocky Horror Picture Show, but it just misses on so many levels. You should still watch it because Fillion and Harris are wonderful--and much better singers than we suffered through with Rocky. Rocky offered us two sweet innocent "kids" facing evil, but this film wants us to embrace evil and suggest we should want to be evil. I don't' see it as becoming a cult classic--sadly it is missing the point of most cult movies... I do need to point out that when two black background extras appeared in the same scene, I realize this is one of the whitest movies I've seen in several years. Whedon has moved too far from the innocent but lovable hero, and Fillion too far from the "ruggedly handsome" cult hero. Such a waste.

I get that the point was to make it ridiculously horrible, but it really was. Despite not really liking it much, I would probably suggest it to someone else depending on their interests.

Yikes... Thank goodness it was a short flick. More bonus material than flick, yikes! To be honest, didn't watch "bonus material". Story line was super predictable. Some good moments, but overall would be more enjoyable as a dinner show. Sorry!

Joss Whedon created this film online (it was available to view for free) to show the industry that good movies didn't have to be big budget blockbusters. What he did with a very small budget was quite remarkable. This film is funny, touching, and an instant cult classic. Both Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Castle) and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother/host of nearly every award show) sing in this musical/comedy and they appear to be having a great time. It is classic Joss Whedon and a really entertaining movie with several catchy songs.

I loved "Firefly",.. BUT. This shortie reminds me of an old Woddy Allen two-liner : "The food here is so terrible,... and in such small portions". It could have been much better.

Who else but Joss Whedon (Avengers, Buffy, Firefly, etc) and his talented siblings could mashup a 1) superhero, 2) live action, 3) musical; original songs split among three sections totaling about 45 mins. The music soundtrack CD is the one and only in my car to this day. Made and released for free over the internet during the failed 2008 writer's strike. Within a year dvd sales had more than paid back salaries and production costs. DrH hadn't appeared on TV yet *still* won an Emmy. Lead cast: Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and [queen of internet gamers] Felicia Day. See it, tell your friends, and repeat. Siggy, from Penny to BillyBuddy: "Don't worry. Captain Hammer will save us."

Lyrics to Bad Horse (Letter) :

Bad Horse
Bad Horse
Bad Horse
Bad Horse

He rides across the nation
The thoroughbred of sin
He got the application
You just sent in

It needs evaluation
So let the games begin
A heinous crime, a show of force
A murder would be nice, of course

Bad Horse
Bad Horse
Bad Horse
He’s bad

The Evil League of Evil
Is watching, so beware
The grade that you receive
Will be your last, we swear

So make the Bad Horse gleeful
Or he’ll make you his mare . . .

Get saddled up
There’s no recourse
It’s Hi-Ho Silver
Signed Bad Horse
