I did enjoy this book but found I had to really strain to suspend my disbelief from time to time. Best example: when I found out who dunnit, I had to go back to read the description of when we were first introduced in the story because there was no way that description matched what the killer was described as being able to do. But still an intriguing narrative.

Fiendishly clever, smart, and darkly funny. Even if you haven't read the previous books in the series, this one is enjoyable for those who like dark, macabre, gritty thrillers.

Fourth DS Logan Mcrae novel. Always fun to read if you are not faint-hearted. I thought this novel was more gritty and less humorous then the previous ones. A very chilling story line in this installment.

This is not a book for the faint of heart. Very dark and violent. I liked the fact that the author gave definitions of some Scottish words in the back of the book.

I don;t know what MacBride was thinking, when he wrote this book. Engrossing but very dark and violent.
