(No disrespect intended here) - But, I'd say that a title like "Invincible" for Michael Jackson's final album is (in hindsight) somewhat on the ironic side - Wouldn't you!?
To be sure - "Invincible" certainly does contain both its fair share of good musical moments, as well as its not-so-good musical moments, too.
Released in 2001 - Jackson (43 at the time) was going through some serious internal conflicts with Sony Music and as a result they held back on giving his 10th studio album the red-carpet treatment when it came to its all-out promotion.
This CD of 16 tracks (covering the genres of R&B, dance-pop, and ballads) explores such familiar themes as romance, media criticism, and social issues.
(*Be sure to watch "2000 Watts" music-video*)
*Note* - In 2009 - Michael Jackson (50 at the time) died of cardiac arrest.
I am a huge Micheal fan and this album was a big letdown for me when I bought a copy.there are a few classic songs You Rock My World Speechless which is incredible emotion from Michael ,Don't Go Away which should of been a big hit one of Michael's best soulful ballads ever other songs i like are 2000 Watts it is a nice dance song and Unbreakable is also catchy with a Notorious B.I.G rap thrown in.there are a lot of filler songs which i skip and are not that good . some songs from Michael 2010 or Xscape should of been on this album instead and then it could of been a classic.reccomended for MJ fans for the few very good songs.
my fav track is 2000 watts
I like the whole album
this album is interesting for what its trying to be, which i feel is what rodney jerkins )the producer) gave michael and told him was hot. listen to butterflies, speechless and whatever happens especially to understand who michael was as an artist.
