The scope of this book makes me want to give it a better rating, but I just can't. This book has the most atrocious spelling and grammar mistakes I've ever seen, including captions that stop in the middle of a sentence, leaving you wondering what is being said. Photos in more than a few examples seemed to have captions swapped, and in one example the second photo wasn't even shown.

If you want to look past that it's a pretty good book on lighting, though I can't help but feel the author was trying a little too hard to be in-depth and ended up spending a bit too much time on technical stuff that even he admitted would likely be handy only in very limited situations (ie. probably never). I don't regret reading it, but it could use some work.

This book is amazingly in-depth. Best book I've found on lighting to date. Contains everything you want to know. The only bad part was that I felt like I had to return it to the library too soon without being able to go through everything as thoroughly as I wanted.

Wouldn't let me renew it with the others the first time. Does allow it the second time.
