Nice original twist of FTL spaceship in futuristic civilization fighting total war & space battle get hurled & crashed in Magic dominated land.
Disastrous first contact with patriarchal pre-industrial civilization vs female dominated surviving crew.
Can't go home because FTL engine won't work. No #metoo social media campaign either. Can't recharge energy weapons.
Caring battered women & children from other lands while trying raise crops in marginal land in the mountains or learning horsemanship, swordmanship & yes, magic ramped up the problems for protagonists.
Author emphasized logistics, economics, money & social issues unlike other fantasy authors.
Novel highly recommended
