Somewhat dated but charming nonetheless.

Omar Sharif. A very gracious actor now.
Films from the Middle East worth seeing.
Off Broadway play was good, one man show.

A pretty sweet film about the unlikely bonding of two people in Paris, in something like a father-and-son relationship. I do not consider it a great film, but one which is touching and enjoyable to watch. In French with subtitles.

Magnetically interesting exploration of how two 'souls' :: one adolescent, one aged :: bind together in a loving relationship.

Very good moments of humour throughout.

And, a superb performance by Omar Sharif as the aged Turkish Muslim grocer.

--- M. Ibrahim.
