It seems this movie is well loved by many, and it was recommended to me as a "sick movie", plus I was interested in watching a "poker movie." In the end, it was more of a western type thing which ended with 20 minutes or so of a poker tournament. Not to mention it played a version of poker I don't know - I was hoping for Texas Hold'em.

It was pretty funny at times and Brett Maverick is your average likeable main character but for a poker movie go for "Rounders" instead.

I thought this was a good movie especially for a comedic western. I would recommend this to any fan of the western genre.

Annabelle: Well, they're Indians. They probably just stole the ponies!
Maverick: Not everybody's like you, Mrs. Bransford.
Annabelle: What is it with you and Indians anyway?
Maverick: Oh, nothing. I try and shoot one a day, if possible, before noon. How 'bout you, Coop? I figure it's their fault for being on our land before we got here.
