It is hard to find kitty books that are about boys and their cats and this series has it! We have loved reading all of these books!

I love the characters of Mr. Putter & Tabby; if you enjoy well scripted and illustrated children's literature, read with a child or just yourself, any of these books are gold and you would do well to start with this one (though any and all will do).

Having taught all four of my children to read, I think the Mr. Putter and Tabby books are my favorite early-reader books. They are witty enough for adults to enjoy while still being simple enough for children to understand. They don't go on and on with nonsensical rhymes or painfully childish stories. My daughters, age 12 and 10, still read them when their little brother checks them out.

This is a great idea for a story. I have been in Mr. Putter's situation one too many times. I love the fact that their is a neighbor that came through to help make the soup. Zeke is a hoot. I adore the "interactions" Tabby and Zeke have with each other. The last page of the book is a treat. I want it as a tattoo.
