Add a QuoteI know of a planet where there is a red-faced gentleman. He has never smelled a flower. He has nevere looked at a star. He has never loved anybody. He has spent all his time adding up figures. And, all day he keeps on repeating like you: "I am busy with serious matters. I am busy with serious matters," over and over again. And he swells up with pride. But he is not a man, he is a mushroom.
-The little prince
"What are you doing there?" he said to the tippler, whom he found settled down in silence before a collection of empty bottles and also a collection of full bottles.
"I am drinking," replied the tippler, with a lugubrious air.
"Why are you drinking?" demanded the little prince.
"So that I may forget," replied the tippler.
"Forget what?" inquired the little prince, who already was sorry for him.
"Forget that I am ashamed," the tippler confessed, hanging his head.
"Ashamed of what?" insisted the little prince, who wanted to help him.
"Ashamed of drinking!" The tipler brought his speech to an end, and shut himself up in an impregnable silence.

"Anything essential is invisible to the eyes. It's the time you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important. People have forgotten this truth. But you mustn't forget it. You become responsible forever for what you've tamed. You're responsible for your rose.. "
Amazing and powerful book ending with a mystery for the ages.
9+ Wonderful classic tale with hidden depths a must read for all ages!
I read this book at around 7 years old and loved it. The book has some deep insights into what it's like to be a kid, beginning with Antoine drawing an elephant digested by snake and grown-ups thinking it to be a hat. As he grows up, his view of the world becomes more concrete, and meeting a young boy in the middle of the desert reminds him of what it is to be a child.
The Little Prince was a whimsical book with lots of love and imagination. The story begins with an aviator who slammed his plane into the Sahara Desert. While looking for a way to survive, he spots a young boy. The boy asks the aviator to draw him a sheep. My favorite character in this book was the fox. He was my favorite character, because he taught the young boy a very important lesson. This taught the little boy that anything and everything is very important.
I have read books from numerous genres in great quantities. This is by far the best book I have ever read. I keep coming back to it to refresh my mind of its great words and it never gets old!
Great piece of literature. Not entirely what I was expecting, but it was very enjoyable and a unique read!
Favorite book of all time.
Should be required reading for all adults everywhere!
I read this book after watching the film. Very deep. The reason why I hadn't read it until now was because I knew how it ended and didn't want to cry reading it. I actually didn't cry while reading it; I cried 3 times during the film, though.
